RAIN AND SNOW
Big Kansas Outdoors always hunt rain or shine, so come prepared to weather some rain if need be. There is always a chance of snow in in the winter months in the Heartland, so come prepared to hunt in below freezing temperatures.
HOW TO DRESS FOR THE WEATHER
A high quality, moisture wicking long underwear is a must for every hunter, we highly recommend wearing two layers of clothing for typical hunting conditions and bringing a third outer layer for those extra cold, frosty mornings. Bringing a baseball style cap as well as a beanie will keep you covered in both hot and cold conditions. Footwear is critical in the cold as laying in a goose blind for an extended period of time can cause toes to freeze, if you do not want to bring two sets of footwear a good idea is to bring an extra pair of heavy socks or heat packs to add to the boots if needed. Having a small backpack or blind bag with you helps when you need to add or remove layers.
Remember to bring:
Be prepared for both warm and cold weather, to ensure you get the most out of your waterfowl hunting experience in Kansas. For clothing, bring lots of layers, gloves, headgear and footwear suited to waterfowl hunting and our unpredictable weather conditions.
